FAQs
-
Your cost depends on your specific insurance plan, including any copay, coinsurance, or deductible. I use Headway, a platform that helps therapists accept insurance and handles insurance claims and billing. Through Headway, we can review your estimated cost per session before getting started. Final charges may vary depending on how your insurance processes the claim.

If I'm not in-network with your insurance, private pay is an option. I also offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments based on financial need and availability. I'm happy to discuss fees and what might be possible so you can make a decision that feels right for you.

Yes! I offer virtual individual therapy to adults in Illinois and Maine. Sessions take place through Google Meet, with privacy safeguards in place. You can join from a private, comfortable space without having to factor in a commute.

Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law. There are specific exceptions, including certain safety concerns and disclosures required by law. I'll walk you through those limits before we begin, so you know what to expect and have an opportunity to ask questions.
-
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, a bit about your background, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once. We'll also make time for any questions you have.
-
Many clients start with weekly sessions, but how often we meet depends on your needs, goals, and availability. We'll decide together what makes sense and revisit the frequency as our work progresses.
-
I require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, incur a $99 fee. This fee is not covered by insurance and is the client's responsibility.
Each appointment time is reserved specifically for you. I explain this policy before we begin working together, so you know what to expect.

Getting started is simple! You're welcome to reach out by email, phone, text, or through the New Client Inquiry Form on my Contact page. We can talk about availability, insurance or self-pay options, and any questions you have. If we decide to move forward, I'll walk you through scheduling and the intake process.
STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
I know navigating insurance, scheduling, and the logistics of starting therapy can bring up questions. Please reach out if there’s anything I can help clarify.
Good Faith Estimate
If you don't have insurance or choose not to use your insurance for therapy, you have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of your expected costs under the No Surprises Act. This estimate outlines anticipated charges based on your planned services and is not an additional fee. You may request an estimate before scheduling, and one will be provided in accordance with federal requirements.
