Life transitions, big & smaLL

I've always been particularly drawn to supporting people through life's transitions, especially the ones we don't immediately recognize as change.

Sometimes transitions are obvious, like moving somewhere new, starting a job, or beginning or ending a relationship. Other times, they're quieter. Maybe a friendship doesn't feel the same anymore, the career you've worked so hard for isn't quite what you imagined, or you're realizing that things you once valued no longer hold the same meaning.

It's possible to feel excited about what's ahead while grieving what you're leaving behind. To be grateful for the life you've built while still wanting something different. Or to recognize that something needs to change without knowing exactly what that looks like yet.

I love helping people make sense of these in-between moments. We can explore what's shifting, question expectations you've carried, and figure out what feels right for you now, rather than what you once thought your life was supposed to look like.

What brings you to therapy?

You don't need one big reason to start therapy. Sometimes it's a pattern you keep noticing, a relationship that's been on your mind, or something you haven't quite been able to put into words. Here are some of the things we might work through together.

ANXIETY & OVErthinking

From the outside, you might seem like you have everything under control, but internally, your mind rarely gets a break. You're replaying conversations, anticipating what could go wrong, or second-guessing decisions you've already made. We can work on understanding what keeps these cycles going and recognizing that not every thought needs your attention.

Relationships & boundaries

Maybe you're always the one reaching out, questioning how someone is treating you, or struggling to express what you need. Whether you're navigating dating, friendships, family dynamics, or a long-term relationship, I enjoy helping people recognize patterns, navigate difficult conversations, and distinguish between what's theirs to take responsibility for and what isn't.

Identity & self-discovery

Sometimes getting to know yourself means questioning the roles you've taken on, the expectations you've lived by, or what you've always thought you were supposed to want. Maybe you're reconsidering what matters to you, exploring your sexuality or gender identity, or learning to trust your own voice. I especially value my work with LGBTQIA+ clients and want therapy to be a space where you can talk openly about your experiences without having to explain or defend who you are.

work stress & burnout

Work can be a big part of your life without being the whole thing. You might be navigating difficult workplace dynamics, taking on more than feels manageable, or wondering whether the career you've worked so hard for still feels right. I think it's worth asking not just what your job needs from you, but what you need from your job.

self-esteem & perfectionism

You can be doing well and still feel behind. It's easy to compare your path to everyone else's, downplay your accomplishments, or hold yourself to standards you'd never expect someone you love to meet. I want to help you rethink those expectations, not just work harder to meet them.

Eating concerns & body image

Our relationships with food, movement, and our bodies can be complicated in ways others don't always see. Sometimes it's the rules around eating, the guilt that comes afterward, or how a single thought about your body can change the way you feel about yourself. This work is particularly meaningful to me, and I believe these experiences deserve curiosity and compassion rather than more judgment.

Don’t see what you’re looking for?

Not everything that brings us to therapy fits neatly into a category. The concerns above are just some of the things I work with. If you don't see your experience reflected here, you're always welcome to reach out with questions about working together.

wondering if we’d be a good fit?

I know finding the right therapist can feel like a process. If something you've read resonates with you, I'd be happy to hear from you. You're welcome to reach out with questions about my approach, availability, or what getting started might look like.
